The customs post at the Finnish-Russian border:

SMITHS system of inspection of lorries and containers by X-ray. This system is used by the Finish customs at the Vaalina border post between Finland and Russia.

The customs monitor the cargo of all containers and lorries crossing the border including those in-transit in Europe, as part of the fight against the traffic of drugs, arms, explosives and other forms of contraband.

The system produced by SMITHS and in association with GAUTHEY AUTOMATISMES includes the following equipment :

A complete video system with :

•  Site access via several badging points,
•  Routing signs for lorries,
